Above The Waves
Above the Waves continues Jeremy and Lisa’s exploration of her highly saturated vividly colored images of the nature of her Arroyo Grande home and Jeremy’s poetic response to them as established in their earlier works Big Orange Day (2010) and Exploding into Colour (2012).
Jeremy and Lisa’s epistolary friendship began in 2003 and, in 2007, following a family tragedy, Jeremy encouraged Lisa to deepen her involvement with photography. Lisa says, “It’s amazing what you can share with someone through visuals. Jeremy taught me how to give the observer an experience.”
Lisa, Jeremy and the Ginger Light, Jeremy’s musical collaboration, are also the creators of Orange Sunshine Poetry, a project whereby Lisa exhibits videos created by the Ginger Light for her and recordings of Jeremy’s talks which she shares with Californians at public events in her home state.
